We are seeking a skilled Field Network Engineer/Inventory Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining network infrastructure at client sites, as well as managing and maintaining our inventory of IT equipment and supplies. This role requires a strong understanding of networking principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. Additionally, this person will ensure accurate inventory records, optimize inventory levels, and support the procurement process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software.
  • Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely resolutions.
  • Perform network upgrades and migrations.
  • Conduct site surveys and assessments.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their network needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Document network configurations and changes.
  • Ensure network security and compliance with industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and track stock levels.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations.
  • Manage the procurement process for IT equipment and supplies.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Optimize inventory levels to meet operational needs.
  • Prepare inventory reports and forecasts.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of inventory management policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in network engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory management.
  • Proficiency in networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
  • Experience with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).
  • Proficiency in inventory management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
